Feeling Scared and Confused....

I am 7w 2d pregnant (or so I thought) and two days ago I started spotting and having mild cramping, which instantaneously freaked me out. I made my way to the ER and they did blood test and a transvaginal US. When the results came out they said that my hcg levels were high and they saw a gestational sac that only measured to 5w 5d and that it was laying low. Also that bc it is too early that they could not provide me with definite diagnosis and my obgyn would be the one who can give me a more definite answer on whether I was going to miscarriage or not. Has this ever happened to anyone? Or something similar? Should I be worried? 😫😕
