When did you get to hear your baby's heart beat?

So my second appointment is when I get to hear my baby's heart beat, I'll be 10 weeks. But some lady said they heard the heart beat at the 7th week which I am 7 weeks right now so how come I didn't get to hear the heart beat at 7? :(
