Copper IUD--Experiences? Advice?

Hi ladies!

I'm a 27 year old who's been on low dose hormonal BC (the pill) on and off for the last couple of years. I took a break from it when I broke up with my last SO. I'm dating again, so I started taking it again recently, and it has been ROUGH! I'm tired of taking it every day, it has actually made my periods worse lately, and my mood swings and anxiety are through the roof and INSANE.

I want a non-hormonal option--preferably something more permanent (I have no plans to have kids for at least 5+years). Has anyone gotten a copper IUD? Any complications? Any issues? Any advice?
