Need some help

So I took a test on Tuesday and it said no there was no faint lines but I still haven't started and now I'm 5 days late but I do have polycystic ovarian syndrome but I'm also on metformin to help I have been regular for over a year and that last two months I have been ovulating I have had two other children and I don't feel pragnet I know I should probly should test a gen I just don't want another nagitve we have been trying for over a year now so any advice would be greatly appreciated
