Do you struggle with your religion?

I'm Mormon and sometimes I find it really hard to follow all of the standards. I love my religion but some of the standards are hard to follow. Like being modest for example during the summer here in Utah it gets super hot and I wanna wear short shorts and tank tops but you're not supposed too.

I'm a Christian,  born and raised Catholic, I was a choir director and now Pentecostal (church of God), I'm a minister,  a teacher,  a preacher.  I have nothing bad/wrong to say about catholic, I was always faithful and true to God,  and one faithful night in my vision,  God gave me the address of my now church. That's where I worship ever since and I'm not going anywhere until God says so, because I'm not my own,  I belong to Jesus/God.

And no no no,  I do not struggle with it at all,  I feel free,  at peace,  proud,  all the good stuff,  alleluia alleluia alleluia alleluia

I'm a Christian, non-denominational follower of Jesus Christ. Just sharing that for background. I hold firm to a faith that guides my actions, not a religion in the sense that its a set of rules to be judged for breaking. God searches the heart for motive and intention. So in my case, I would reflect on whether I'm wearing clothes to be an object of lust? Or is it hot outside, and a girl needs to let those legs breathe! Its not about do's and don'ts, its about sharing the messsage and love of Christ, and letting the Holy Spirit guide me through the gray areas.

My struggles with Christianity were only in the sense in wondering whether it was my own, or whether it was just something that was familiar because I was born into it and surrounded by a Christian community. To address this within myself, I went off to a non-religious university away from my familar life and quickly released my faith was not one of convenience. It was based on unassailable truths which i hold dear.

I'm also Mormon, a convert actually. And even though it took a while for me to prepare for baptism, temple, etc. I find it difficult to uphold these standards as well. My husband is a convert like me, but he has been having trouble sticking to the word of wisdom. My problem has been attending sacrament, profane language, and studying. I understand where you're coming from. I too love this religion and am glad to be a member of the church. But I'm still struggling to follow these standards, although I keep trying. I think that's the important thing, that we keep progressing to become better than who we were yesterday. I hope this helps.

It’s completely normal to struggle with doubt and/or inner turmoil when it comes to some of the things that are required of you in religion. 
I’m a Christian, and you better believe that I’ve had more than my fair share of doubting and inner rebellion. But the thing about doubting is that it can be a cause for growth. When you question a certain rule, you look for the reasoning behind it and by doing so, your faith either strengthens or weakens. 
For instance, in Christianity, homosexuality is deemed immoral. At first glance, that seems pretty harsh and hypocritical, since Jesus is loving and merciful, yet condemns those who are attracted to the same sex. However, if you research and dive deep into the Bible, you will come to find that the reason why it is wrong is because homosexuality violates God’s standard for sex, which symbolizes the unity of Christ and the church. To those who are unfamiliar with the terms I’m using, I apologize for my unfamiliar wording. Feel free to message me for clarification. 
My point is that doubt can be a cause for strengthening one’s faith, or cause it to disintegrate all together.

I used to struggle with the same things while I was Mormon. Born and raised and I was very devout for 22 years.

It just wasn't the right fit for me - no form of Christianity is. And believe me, I researched many Christian religions before realizing that.

I'm a Witch now and even though it's the perfect religion for me, I still struggle with it - just in different ways. I've lost best friends over it, I've been made fun of for it, I've feared being disowned from my family for it, and I've been outcast as a black sheep within my family for it. I've also recently told my manager at work about my faith (it came up in conversation) and now he barely makes eye contact with me and there are times when I worry about losing my job over it.

Everyone struggles with their faith in different ways. It's normal. You just have to decide if it's worth it.

I don't because we don't have set out rules like that in my religion. We obey the laws but the principals are seen as conscience matters. So when it says to be modest with soundness of mind some people wear bikinis etc I personally choose go wear a one piece but it's not something that's wrong. But I'm a JW so it's only based on the Bible not the book of Morman

Yea sometimes I do too bc I really want a baby with my hubby but I feel like God has babies on our agenda but not now we need to be financially stable.
