Depressed and anxiety
Our LO was born Jan 7th. The Dr.'s recommended Emergency C section due to no fetal movement in ultrasound when I went in w/ my contractions 4 min apart. He wasn't breathing when he came out and he wasn't crying. My husband told me later that our son was purple and they more less had to bring him back to life. They brought him to the children's hospital and after I was discharged we had spent 17 days at children's hospital. 2 of those nights we did stay at home to try to actually get sleep. Our son had got meconiun (tar like poop) in his lungs and caused an infection (pulmonary hypertension) then also got phnemonia. He eventually got better and it was down to getting him to bottle feed, take down certain amts. w/in certain time frame and to see him gain weight. Breast feeding didn't go well and I was pumping every 2 hrs around the clock and taking supplements to help my supply but it never increased and had to supplement anyway. I had talked to3 different lactation specialist as well. My mother and my mother in law both ended up in the hospital during this time as well. We're home now our son is doing great and our moms are recovering from major surgery. But right now my husband and I are both feeling anxiety/depressed. He's back to work and I'm getting up w/ him all night. It's a very heavy feeling in the chest that comes and goes. I cry here and there and it's probably because of all we went through and didn't have time to grieve during it all cuz we had to be strong for one another. Lack of sleep is a lot of the problem I'm sure. But this heavy, anxious, & depressed feeling that comes and goes is exhausting.
