Next Day pill

Hi! I'm 22 yesterday my boyfriend accidentally cum inside me.. 30 minutes after I took the next day pill I'm very scared because I think I was ovulating but I don't know for sure.. Can someone tell their expirience with the next day pill??? Does it works? Btw I know that not using protection was wrong but thats not the point please just answer my questions thanks a lot
