What all do you need to take with you to the hospital when u give birth?

Toiletries. They didn't provide any but towels. Comfy clothes for sure. Whether it's a c section or vaginal, comfy clothes are a MUST, I brought lots of jammies. Lip balm. I can't tell you how many times my lips got dry. You can bring a birth plan, I did, but some stuff just didn't happen the way I planned. Something to keep you occupied. I labored for 13 hours before I could push so we watched DVDs, did stuff on my laptop etc.. Clothes to take baby home in. Face moisturizer, hair brush. Food to eat AFTER you give birth.

I'm sure there's more but that's what I brought. Oh and bed slippers.

Well I'm in Ontario, Canada.  I've had two babies already. I think you should pack light as you dont want too much stuff to pack when leaving the hospital/birth center.  I packed two outfits and some Pjs for me, A few pairs of granny panties to accommodate the big maternal pads, a box of nursing pads( will need even if not breastfeeding as the milk will leak either way), two outfits for baby,  diaper pins and covers (if cloth diapering-the hospital has diapers you can use and they wash), baby wipes (hospitals don't have them), any Chargers for music players phones cameras etc and extra batteries, some snacks and maybe a book.  I would pack shampoo and soap for mom, and a pair of flip flops or slippers, hair elastics and some makeup.
