Getting on birth control . Help ?

Today I have a appointment with the gyno , I'm really nervous ! I'm going to see about getting on birth control , but still haven't made up my mind on which form. It's such a hard decision ! I want to get on depo for a while but I've heard it really messed up your system , and I'm young and don't want kinds anytime soon , but do want kids in the future .. maybe in my mid twenties . could you all tell me about your birth control , and what you like and dislike about it ?
