Why no peanut butter?

Amber • Fri, Feb 05 • I just turned 30. I am pregnant with my first baby. My husband and I have been married 3 years in March, been together for 9 years. His first child as well. I am here to learn and enjoy my pregnancy.

Yesterday I had my first appointment and got to see the heartbeat and found out I was 7 weeks. One of the first things the nurse told me is no peanut butter or any kind of nuts. Now I am not heart broken by this, but I was wondering why. I was going to ask the doctor but forgot after waiting 2 hours while he delivered twins. By the time he saw me, I was too anxious to pee that I forgot, lol.
