Braxton hicks?

Hello ladies I am 30 weeks 6 days with my first child also first pregnancy ever. I have been having braxton hicks for a couple of weeks now which I know is normal, but is it normal for them to not hurt at all? The only time they are the slightest uncomfortable is when I'm laying down at night to go to sleep and that's just because my stomach is so hard. Would you veteran mom's find this as a good thing that they don't hurt or a bad thing because even though my body is practicing for birth I don't feel like I am
