Help! Can somebody please answer this question? Cant seem to find the answer anywhere!!

Question

You are suppose to have sex during your fertile window leading up to ovulation ...but if your cervix is closed how do they get there ??? Do they live in your vagina til ovulation??... .I'm wondering this cause I had sex 2 days before ovulation and hubby had to work and no time for sex we did it everyday til 2 days before ovulation.. But I realized my cervix is closed so where are they gonna go?? I've asked a bunch of TTC forums but still nobody has been able to help me out ... Can anyone be so kind to answer this for me?

Sperm can live in the vagina up to 7 days. U can always ask your doctor bout it. But I'm positive it lives up to 7 days. I've used google and dr forums to answer my questions about that!

Even though it feels closed, the pounding action against it during sex can open it a little. Also, if you're able to orgasm at the same time as him or after he does (even if you have to do it yourself), the contractions of the uterus/cervix during orgasm can help the semen get to where it needs to go. Those fellas are tiny though and can get through the tiniest pinhole! Your non fertile creamy CM is mainly what will clog up the opening so preseed might be worth looking into for you if you don't have fertile CM on the days you're doing it. It can keep the sperm alive longer and help it get through the not-so-open cervix.

Did you get a positive opk? It doesn't sound like it was your fertile window if your cervix wasn't open even a little bit.
