Relationship Advice

So my boyfriend has told me that he thinks I'm "needy" and I don't know whether to take that offensive or not? I mean I took it as an offensive comment because I don't feel like I'm needy.... I tell him that he means the world to me and that I love him very much almost every other day, I text him about 10-15 times a day, we see one another twice a week and I asked for 3 but he feels like 2 is enough, and he thinks I go to him about advice for everything... But when I'm sad I mostly only go to him because I thought in relationships that's what you were supposed to do. I don't know if I sound clingy or If he's just being an ass? All comments help!
