I'm extremely close with this guy I grew up with. We've talked about dating, but he says he's not ready. Ok, fine. But if that's the case, then why does he treat me like a girlfriend? Like he's my good morning and my goodnight, every night. And our convos ARE NOT platonic. Besides the sexual stuff, we share very personal stuff with each other too. I don't know what to do.

Maybe tell him you want to wait for the sexual stuff until he figures out his feelings? He might feel like if he's getting all the benefits from a gf , why make it official

If he says he's not ready, believe him. Do not read into anything else. And although you're understandably enjoying it, start to put some space in and discourage sex/ intimacy conversations. You need to let yourself be available to meet and date a guy who *is*ready. If he wanted to date you, he'd make it happen, no question! You're wasting your time hoping on this one.
