10% salicyic acid okay to use in a face wash?

They say dermalogica is safe to use which that contains salicyic acis. Thoughts??? I'm trying to use this new acne Gelee cleanser by bare minerals that contains 10% salicyuc acid and other goodies.

I asked my beautician as was worried and she said its fine as most products don't  pass something like the 3rd layer (or less) of the epidermis so won't affect the baby.

I was told face wash or things that are on and off quickly are fine, but to avoid things you leave on your skin for extended periods (masks, lotions).

I've heard most topical stuff is fine. My doctor recommended proactive for acne and it has benzoyl peroxide in it which I believe is harsher than salicyic acid... Not positive on that but it seems to be harsher on my face. You should be fine.

My doctor said it was fine. She said the only thing to definitely avoid was retinoids.

Why was I never informed of this?? I've been using ointment that soaks in and doesn't wash off. What does it do?
