Induction Experience?

Question

I had my 40 week appointment today. I will be induced sometime this week! My body does not want to allow baby girl to arrive on her own. They said I will receive cervidil the afternoon/evening before and then pitocin in the morning. My doctor already informed me that it will be painful since I'm only dilated at 1cm and 0% effacement. If it doesn't work out then I will be scheduled for a C-Section. For anyone else that has done this, what was it like? I'm sure it's different for everyone, but I just wanted to hear about past experiences.

Mine was a good experience. They gave me the medicine at night and 12 hours later broke my water. I went from a 4 to a 10 in 2 hours. 8 pushes and she was out.

In in the same boat! I'm being admitted Friday at 7am for either cervidil or pitocin depending which is more favorable! I'm at 2cm and 75% right now and my doctor did the membrane sweep this morning with no luck! I'll be 41wks Friday and he said it could take 24-48 hours being as she is still so high! The end is near!!

I'm currently in thay situation. Got admitted 5 hrs ago and was given cervidil and since then my contractions have now been 3-4minut apart. When she checked me Initially I  was 2cm and 50%effaced but now idk. I'm to be induced tomorrow morning. . Hoping I'll go into labor on my own.. will update. All the best to you hun

I got induced Friday because of BP and excess amniotic fluid. They started pitocin and my antibiotic at 7pm I was 4cm by 8:30pm antibiotics done and I was 6-7 cm they stopped pitocin broke my water by 9:15 pm I was 10 cm and pushing had him by 9:39pm. This is my 3rd baby and I was 37 weeks exactly.
