The pill help

So I need help with my birth control pill levaro. I started it a week from today (Friday) and my normal cycle says I should have started my period today but since I started the pill does that mean I won't get it until the end of my pack when I start my colored pills/sugar pills? And if I start it sooner do I start a new pack of my birth control? I'm worried about the possibility of being pregnant that's why I want to know when I should get my period. Any help would be great. The doctor didn't help me at all with them!
