Trying to conceive!!! HELP

Been off contreception since July. Me and partner wanting a bubby. Periods were normal for 4 months Nov as Dec no period atall! But no pregnancy. January normal period. Now 9 days late this month. Don't want to take a test as can't face anymore dissapointment. Currently undergoing blood tests and scans to check me. Anyone else had problems trying to conceive? Any tips or stories?
