Child support?

I live my bf and currently on welfare, does anybody know if he will still have to pay child support if we live together? We aren't married and aren't getting married anytime soon.

Some counties and or states require child support in order to receive funding... Just check guidelines with your local office

If you give the baby his last name and put him on the birth certificate, yes, he will. I'm in almost the exact same situation right now with putting the baby on Medicaid and it sucks, but gotta do what you gotta do.

My friend wen through that.. If you aren't married and go on welfare, the state will open its own case or child support. Regardless of what last name they get. Just have to get it worked out through the state or get off welfare honestly.

No he won't have to pay unless you claim he isn't taking care of the kids or claim he abandoned you

In the state of Michigan they do not have to if you live together and he pays more than 50% of expenses for baby. Rent.. bills.. clothing ect.

My first daughter we weren't living together but was giving a set amaount they counted that as child support but maybe cause you live together you might get away with it due to he's helping with expenses

I receive food stamps and Medicaid and I had to prove I received child support from my sons dad plus his dad has to provide medical. If I didn't show proof they were going to go after him for it by filing child support on my behalf which I didn't want but because they were helping me it's in their rules.
