When will baby engage into the birth canal

So this is my second pregnancy my first was breech n I had c section. I am 36+6 she is head down but the problem is that she is on an angle on my left side under my fiborid, the same fiborid that grew with my pregnancy n blocked my son from going head down. Her whole body is on my right side n her shoulders r by the birth canal. The doctor claims that when I go into labor she will move her head over to the center n go into the birth canal but I don't think she will.. She keeps pushing her head up under my fiborid n more towards my left side as if she is trying to engage. Has anybody else experience this, and they were able to have a successful vbac still?? I'm just concerned I might have to do another c section again..
