Advice

My husbands birthday is coming up in March and it falls on a Friday. My father In law pretty much tells me he is taking my husband out that night for guys night. so I can't spend my husband birthday with him? I'm furious don't know if I should be. His father is always around I feel like I never get time with my husband. I thought when you get married your spouse is now first then everyone else follows. Please help with some advice
