When you see a woman buying ovulation tests...

Jennifer

Dear Young Target Cashier Woman,

I understand that you originally mistook them as two boxes of pregnancy tests. That's easy to do! I totally get it! Unfortunately they are not and you did not understand that yes, I am actually TRYING to GET pregnant! If you had, I doubt you would have shared yoir story of how you took about ten different pregnancy tests and were in denial until you were about 6 months along in you UNPLANNED, UNWANTED pregnancy. Of course, I smiled and laughed along with your story bc having once been pregnant 8 years ago myself(welcomed but ended in miscarriage), I can somewhat relate to taking multiple tests. What you donvt know is that I cried when I got to my car bc I can only dream and plan to be able to tell my own story about pregnancy tests! You don't know how sensitive this subjest is to me and how I spend every waking (and sometimes sleeping) moment dreaming of being pregnant and becoming a mother! I don't hold it against you though because you are just a bit ignorant about the process that some of us have to take to achieve the ultimate goal. I guess the moral of this story is, when you see a woman buying ovulation tests, please assume that she is and has been on a very long, tiresome, painful, tearful journey and be gentle with her. Think your thoughts through before you speak them because, although she knows you mean well and have no intentions of hurting her, you may be doing just that.
