"My bitch"

Do you find it disrespectful for your boyfriend or husband to refer to you as "his bitch"? Just curious to know. My SO doesn't call me that period just out of respect. A friend of mine was HIGHLY upset cus her boyfriend call her his bitch, but got mad at me because I told her well, you honestly can't be mad or surprised because YOU refer to yourself as "his bitch". So if you don't respect yourself enough to not refer to yourself that way what makes you think he will? Poor boy was confused when she went off on him for saying it RIGHT after she said it lol. But I just want some opinions. Every relationship is different.
