I'm leukemic, and it's in remission right now but has a very high chance of coming back suddenly, and my only experience with pregnancy until now is miscarriages. Today marks the day that my baby is well enough developed that if anything should happen, he COULD survive outside of me with serious medical intervention. Obviously I plan on keeping him safe inside until he's ready but it's the biggest relief to me to know that it's possible for him to survive just in case.
