When to know you are in labor

I'm way early but this is my 2nd pregnancy. 1st one was a c section I never actually experienced "labor& contractions" 
How do you know when it's the real thing?

Contractions 5 minutes apart or less (lasting at least an hour) that don't go away with rest and water :)

I'm experiencing contractions now... They are around 8-10 mins apart. For me, they are verrry strong menstrual-like cramps that wrap from your front to your back. I feel like I have to hold my breath when it happens.

You'll know. I was 19 years old with my first and was so scared I wouldn't know if I was in labor or not and when it happened I just knew deep down it was the real deal. 😊

Constant contractions every 2-3 minutes! From what I remember, maybe it's closer? That's generally the main one..
