Loofah Replacement?

Question

Last time I purchased a new loofah 
(Plastic netting bath sponge thing) the tag recommended that it should be replaced every 30 days. I try to replace mine fairly often but I definitely don't do it every 30 days plus sometimes I use a washcloth instead.

So just wanted to know am I the only one not doing it every 30 days?

Do you think it's wasteful to replace it that often?

When it disinigrates in my hands or something crawls out of it

A wet, porous object is a breeding ground for germs & bacteria...and all of your dead skin cells are being trapped inside. Honestly, I'd replace it on a monthly basis.

Every couple months, which is usually when it starts looking sad and has tears lol

I don't see a reason to use one. I just use body wash and apply with my hands..

I replace it when it starts to fall apart, I honestly don't think I've ever looked at the tag. Now I feel a little gross. 😯

You could try washing it in the washer instead. I don't like loofahs though because they hoard bacteria. I usually use a different wash cloth every night, but I know that would be a lot to wash for most people.

I would soak it in vinegar to kill all the germs:) it would be fine then I promise

I stopped using them after I got my nipples pierced cause that's just an accident waiting to happen but when I had mine I used it until it started to tear. You're not gonna die if you don't change it every 30 days.

To be honest....this post reminded me I needed to buy a new one because I can't remember the last time I changed ours and now I feel nasty 😁😰

The tags on the loofahs I buy at target say to replace after a month.
