Sharp pain in tooth whenever I bite down on things

So, my front left fang-tooth has a sharp pain whenever I bite down on something. It's not excruciating of anything, but it's very painful and uncomfortable. (I'm a teen-fyi) This has been happening for months, at the least 3, probably more. For a very long time. I've alerted my mom and all she wants to do is get me a cleaning at the dentist. I googled it (I know bad idea) and a dental health website says it's a cracked tooth. It says that people who eat popcorn an chew ice are particularly at risk, and I chew ice every day. It's become a habit at night, not for any reason, I just like doing it. It's like super cold water, and I like that. Anyways, is this something more serius or is it nothing? I chew on the inside of my mouth (also a bad habit heh) and I can't do that much any more because it hurts. I've also had braces once and need them again, if that means anything. Thanks! ^^
Quick note, I am too young to go anywhere like that by myself, I can't drive, I don't have any money. Just incase, I've had people tell me to do stuff like this before, so just a warning, haha. I'm kinda nervous because my family is saving up a lot of money to move across the county and we can't do that if something is wrong with my tooth. Thanks again!
