Military girlfriends

So my boyfriend is talking about getting deployed and thought of it is absolutely unbearable. He has been gone for only one month and comes back in about a week. If I already miss him so much over this short period of time, I can't imagine how much more I will miss him when he is away for a while. Has your SO been deployed? Is it easy for you? How often do you get to talk to them?
