I had my 39 week appt today and was 1.5 cm dilated, 50% effaced, and -1 station. I am due Feb 18, and my dr will be out of town feb 19-21. He offered to induce me in the 16th. He pointed out that at our tiny hospital there is a benefit to being there during the day rather than at night because they are fully staffed during the day. If I go into labor while he is gone I will have a dr I have never met. However, I am terrified of induction. My sister was induced and after about 30 hours of labor had an emergency c-section at 2 am. Should I wait for natural labor to progress, or go through with the induction? I really need help! (My Hubby is very eager and would love if I chose induction!)
