Not sure where to put this ?

I know this has nothing to do with the topics here but I just didn't know where else to go . So I'm 17 and I'm currently driving , since I don't have my own car yet i use my dads truck . Alright so today some girl came up to me in school saying that I hit her sisters car the other day on our way there I asked when since I don't remember hitting anyone I'm usually very careful about that . Well she was like I'm not trying to be mean or anything but either you pay or we're gonna report it . I just said I'll pay , is it bad and she just said i don't know but I remember you were the one and I was like okay here's my number tell your sister to call me ... When she left my friend that was there was like did you do it , and I said idk I honestly don't remember that happening at all . So she said to find out if it was really me if not then why would I pay for something I didn't do .

My question is, if there a way to find out if it was really me who hit the car ?   I don't know why she didn't stop me that day if it was me you know?

I checked the truck  and there's no mark that shows I hit someone.. So idk . Please comment if y'all have any advice for me

Don't pay for it. First of all "he said, she said" isn't enough for charges. She would need physical proof like video, which I HIGHLY doubt she has. If she had proof she would have reported it. Don't let her get money from you. It seems like a tactic to just GET the money. If she does report it, tell them she approached you saying if you didn't give her money she would tell the cops you hit her even if it wasn't you (not a total lie).

If you know it wasn't you then why pay?? How are they going to prove you did it if you know you didn't hit them.

If there is no evidence on your or her car proving you hit it. Then she has nothing to fight for. She could report it and then there would be an investigation. You just say that you did not hit the car. They would inspect your car and hers, looking for transferred paint or any other signs of damage and make a decision.

Don't pay for something you don't think you did! If she's gonna threaten you then let her because if she goes to the cops, the cops will need proof that you hit her car (and I don't think by the sounds of what you said that they'd have any evidence) and if you don't think you did hit it then you probably didn't. You'd know if you hit someone's car! I honestly think this girl is just trying to scam money off of you! Did you even see the damage to her car?

Do not pay for anything! Unless she has witnesses (non related) or proof that your the one that hit the car she has no case against you. I suggest taking pics of the car now so if something does by chance happen to the car you know it wasn't there before.

Don't pay for it! If they file charges there is no damage to your truck so then it goes to whatever they say and that isn't something cops will believe. Please don't pay them they are being rude

She obviously has no proof and it sounds like she's either lying, or is confusing you with someone else. Do not pay a penny unless she can provide some type of video surveilance, or another form of valid proof that it was you. As someone else in the comments already mentioned, if she did have proof she would have reported it by now.

Not to mention, if you actually did hit someone's car, that's something you would definitely remember
