Will you be circumcising your little guy?

My s/o and I have already decided that we WILL be circumcising our baby boy, but I would like to know other mom's reasons for choosing NOT to.

My hubby is not, and neither is my son. Watch a video with the volume on. Now imagine that's your new baby boy. So many boys die from it,  and it is a cosmetic procedure on an un consenting minor. Seriously it's his sexual organs. No ine should alter them but him, at an age where he can decide. I would also look for pics if grown men intact vs cut. You will see a major difference. You can also feel a difference with an intact man. It's soft and the skin protects the most sensitive part. When they are cut they loss so much feeling and it def alters sex as nature intended. You can't reverse a death or bad surgery, he can always choose it later. (He wont, why take gurth and feeling away?) Please look up bothched circs and deaths from bleeding out post surgery. It isn't worth it. Bring him home happy and whole! They just did a study on the massive amounts of pain they indure from it and shock. Just put your self in those awful boards hands bound brand new to the world and someone taking a knife to your perfectly made body. No amount of screaming will stop it. 😢

My best friend works in a senior care facility. The elderly men there who have not been circumcised get infections quite often and don't realize it until it's a huge problem.

I used to think it wouldn't be hard to keep everything clean until my son could learn to do it for himself, I never thought about how difficult it would be when he is old and possible dementia sets in,

My son will be circumcised. Plain and simple. I've spent months doing all the research I can on both ends, and asked many different parents on why/why not have their sons circumcised, so if anyone who opposes wants to try and sway me, my mind is made up.

I just watched a video and it seems to me that they don't numb the area and the baby was screaming in pain. So sad. I'm not doing it

We won't be doing it. It's not something they do in our area unless it's medically necessary.

Yes, I plan to. Don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, but the decision is made already. No one can change my mind and I honestly think sometimes these "hot button" topics are just people arguing. Just like I choose the name, this is something I choose. And yes, it affects a life but a lot of choices for babies do--you choose to vaccinate (and some don't) and that has hazardous consequences too; your baby never asked for the measles but your choice can make that a possibility. I'm making an informed decision, weighing pros and cons, and that's what I decided. If my child hates it, they can come to me and be honest and I will say "I chose this for reason x,y,z" and that's all I can say. I feel it's the best choice for us and our family.

It is So sad that 69% said yes. What if it were baby girls you were asking about and most people said of course I'm going to cut parts of my daughters genitals off that she was born with and that serve a purpose!? Baby boys deserve the same protection as girls. Please, if you are planning on altering the structure and function of your newborns penis (with possible complications ranging from  disfunction(very common) to Death (7 per year) ). At Least watch a video of it being done first.

My son is, my ex husband decided he would be, like his dad. I didn't have any say in the matter. If this baby is a boy he won't be, my boyfriend is not, and he wants his boy to be the same. And honestly I'm ok with that.

My husband wasnt and experienced firsthand painful issues with the skin getting caught and eventually opted to have it done in his 20s. It was extremely painful and long to recover from and he said he definitely wants our baby to have it done right away. Since I dont have the parts, I let him make the decision! Especially if any of the skin issues could be genetic. But I'd never judge anyone else's decision either way.
