Infected?

I had an emergency C-Section on 1/28/16 @ 3:22am. I have been trying to keep it clean and dry. My belly hangs over and the skin on my belly stings and there is a hard lump. Now the middle of my incision is starting to look red. If I hold my belly up while I walk, I don't feel it stinging. I have an appointment with my doctor this Thursday but worried it may be infected and if it is, they put you on antibiotics and that lowers your milk supply!!

I was hospitalized after csection for infection and was given iv meds. I was still able to nurse and it did not lower my supply. But your pic looks pretty normal to me post csection.

Sounds like you need a belly support to help while your stomach recovers from the baby, scar looks great doesnt look infected, its prob irritated from the rubbing, try cotton very soft underwear and place over scar so it doesnt get skin to skin contact  while it heals

I've had 3 c sections the hard lump sounds Iike scar tissue building up... I had it for months after. Your scar looks like it's healing great! Good job mama 😊

My belly hangs over the incision, too. I tucked gauze underneath to absorb the sweat and it helped keep it try.

Try putting a pad on it. I would stick one to my underwear. It helped protect it from my pants rubbing and just felt better.

Mine is red and warm. Had it looked at, just the healing process. 👍🏻 your scar looks great!

Could just be chafing mine did that I have a belly overhang now that I had my son but mine would rub like that and it would get red and sting
