Help determining first cycle day after MC

Okay...so I had a mc (started on Christmas morning of all days 😞)....and I am having trouble determining which day I should count as my first cycle day. Here's the issue: I never spot before starting my period, usually. This time I spotted for 3-4 days before actually getting a (tmi) consistent "flow"

So, would you start the cycle from the first day of spotting -- or would you count from the first true flow day?! Initially, I counted from the first flow day...but it looks like I should have started the first day of spotting according to my OPK strips (I stopped after they looked positive to me...and we were out of town after that without the strips until a few days after I would have o'd according to the first flow day).

Now I'm worried and questioning if we did it enough (or too much) depending on my actual ovulation.
