Should I say I love you?

My boyfriend moved across the country, and then we broke up :/ but I still want to say I love you to him when we talk. And we talk every single day, and talk to each other as if we were in a relationship...should I tell him that I love him at all? Even if I'm terrified he won't say it back?

I agree with Natalie. Is there a reason to tell him? Obviously he's still comfortable talking to you; saying the "L" word at this juncture, you risk ruining that comfort level. Also, talking every day may be simply a habit that may fade away as he makes new friends.

I'm a hopeless romantic... the fact that you guys talk all the time tells me he clearly still has feelings for you. But if you live so far away is there any point to telling him you love him? Will it change anything between you guys?
