How long is D&E recovery??

Just had d&e on Friday there was no heartbeat at 7 weeks. Has anyone had one how long is recovery starting to get cramps now 3 days later all day an night been taking ibproheon n switched to Tylenol w codiene had some leftover n using heating pad this sucks when do cramps go away or how long does it last.

Hi. I had a miscarriage & d&c this past December 23. It was so sad especially around Christmas. We went for the 10 week ultrasound & there was no heartbeat. So sorry for your loss. My heart aches with yours. It took me a little over 3 weeks to completely stop bleeding. I did have some cramping, spotting, & random gushes of kind of watery blood. Sorry if it's tmi. I had a lot of internal pain - like everything was bruised & swollen for a few weeks or so. You should feel a little better physically every day. Sex after 4 weeks post d&c was hard for me emotionally & physically. My cervix was still a little sore -not unbearable but it reminded me of the loss every time it hurt. I cried all the way through the first time we made love after our loss. My husband was really understanding though. Now we're trying again. My husband is 43 & I'm almost 37. This will be our 4th & final one if we are blessed enough with another pregnancy & baby. Wishing you all the best on your mommy journey. ❤

I had no cramping or anything. I simply had a period. I took no meds or anything. It was a really wonderful experience. I hate your having a hard time!

I had debilitating cramps, on and off, for about 4 days ... After 2 days I couldn't take it anymore so I took naproxen around the clock, Tylenol + codeine at bedtime and breakthrough Tylenol during the day, plus hot water bottle to sleep with until I had no more cramps. Worked like a charm! Bled for 10 days total. 
It only gets better from here, I promise :)

for my I cramped the day of my D&C and 6 days later when I had a gush of blood.  but I had stopped bleeding completely by day 7
