So I am a VERY clean person. Especially since I started having sex. On Valentine's Day my bf and I had unprotected sex and as soon as I sat up a gush of water like fluid came out and it was cloudy and smelled like fish. I was horrified. All that I can think of is a bacterial infection. I'm also ttc

I recently went to the doctor and was diagnosed with BV. My gyno said it's common when trying to conceive because the amount of semen throws off the pH balance. It's not necessarily a hygiene issue. A round of antibiotics and some probiotics will help. Good luck!

Sorry but your sis is wrong.  I've had MANY bacterial infections, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, etc in my life.  NONE cause you to GUSH OUT LIQUID.  IF you do have such an infection, YOU HAVE TO go to a doctor.  This is not about insulting u..it's trying to give u advice. Don't know how old you are. ..but in my 32 years, I've seen and has plenty of things. .I was ONLY trying to help.
