Anyone else worried about baby learning to crawl on hardwood floors?

We have absolutely no carpets or rugs in our house.  When he does belly time and sit time I put a big blanket on the floor.  I'm worried about when he starts to crawl of him bashing his face or head off the hardwood.  I would think he'd get road rash on his little knees too...anyone have any experience with this?

Yes!!! Mine is almost 7 months and it freaks me out. Last time I did tummy time without her on a rug, she rolled over and bonked her head.

You can buy those baby leggings to help their knees. They have then for boys too. I'm in the same boat. Figure she'll have a harsh learning curve. We have a few area rugs but 100% hard floors everywhere in my house. I've joked I'll need to get her a helmet lol

Unfortunately there maybe a few bumps. They get better at learning how to catch themselves as they are learning to crawl and roll around. Just keep an eye and don't do too much before they can hold themselves up well on their elbows

I wish I had hard wood floors. At my FILs house my 3 month old was able to get good traction and scoot herself around on her belly. On the carpet she can't get that kind of traction and gets frustrated she can't move. She cries its so sad.
