How did you know when you were ready for sex, and how old were you?

I was 15 with my boyfriend and I knew I was ready because he never pressured me into anything and I made the decision completely on my own. I decided one day I thought I was ready, and gave myself a week to make sure I really was. When the week was over, I still felt ready and let him know that I was. He was very comforting and made sure that I was positive I wanted to do it.

I don't regret it, it was with my first love and I felt respected by him. Losing my virginity was very important to me and he never pressured me into doing anything I didn't want to do.

I was 13 and had been with my ex for about 2 months. He pressured me into it and now I can't believe I did it at such a young age as I find it embarrassing. I wish I would have waited for my current partner as my relationship with my ex was 2 1/2 years of physical and mental abuse and him cheating on me more times than I'd like to think about and because I was so young and nieve I always took him back because he would cry and tell me it was a mistake. All I'll say to those young girls out there thinking of having sex because they think they are in love or its a cool and grown up thing to do is WAIT!!!
