Zofran Constipation?

Sorry if TMI, but I'm desperate! Does zofran make any of you plugged up? Should I be taking a stool softener or something with it?

Zofran is only a no no if your doctor is afraid of the lawsuits. I took zofran with my last and he's perfectly healthy. A couple of people that blame the drug for what would've happened to their baby regardless of if they were on zofran or not, sue the drug company and screw it up for the rest of us. .  I think of it like the whole vaccine debate. Do they cause autism? No. I don't believe they do. But obviously if you don't think you should take zofran and it causes birth defects, don't take it, but I personally like it, just like I like vaccines. Except for the zofran constipation. Not a huge fan of that. I guess we have to pick our battles. LOL!

I was also told that Zofran isn't safe during pregnancy?!

I was told zofran was a big fat no no for pregnancy for it causes birth defects. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have only ever been allowed to take phenegran

Omg yes! It was awful and unexpected. I ended up taking Colace morning and evening and drinking LOTS of water. Morning sickness is over so hopefully no more little pebbles.

Yes!! I was on it for almost my whole pregnancy and I was completely miserable. Definitely take a stool softener! You may want to increase your fiber intake as well and drink plenty of water... My midwife told me when you think you're drinking enough, drink more! Good luck, I hope you get some relief!

I'm taking Zofran because I was so nauseous in the hospital they told me to take 1 every 6 or 8 hours

Omg yeeeess! And I took a stool softener and then I felt better Lol. I didn't think it was really gonna make me constipated but it sure did.
