When will the grieving stop?

I had a mc on 1st Feb and most of the time I'm fine, but can't stop crying about little would have been milestones. Today was meant to be my scheduled midwife appointment for 8 weeks. We're ttc again and hope that once I have that positive again I'll be OK but don't feel anything yet and think I'm spiralling into depression. Any advice much appreciated x

I have a daughter who will be 3 in April, I feel guilty sometimes for grieving as I should be focusing on her! I will try and channel my feelings to look at things more like you, thank you x

It takes time. Last year I had a miscarriage in Febuary also. I felt like I could never get over losing my baby. I focused on my now 4 year old son and realized he may be my miracle baby. We were TTC still and in November I got pregnant and had another miscarriage. I still grieve about both losses but I know that everything happens for a reason and God did not have it in my plans to have the two babies. Again it's tough but just think about what you have now and things will get better. I promise!

Susie, I completely get where you are coming from. This past November I miscarried at 6 weeks, my 8 week appointment was scheduled on my birthday. Am I over it yet? Absolutely not. Is it something that you will ever forget? No. But the truth is as time passes the hurt WILL subside. Don't force yourself to stop grieving. Get it out. Use positive outlets such as talking to your friends or spending time with your partner enjoying each other, small things to distract you. I wish I had words that could heal you right now. Don't focus on that dark space that grabs at you. When that overwhelming feeling comes over you start telling yourself it will be ok. My prayers are with you.
