How would you handle this?

Question

I am 35 weeks pregnant with my second baby, but my husband's 3rd.  This will be baby #4.  All of the other babies are no longer babies really (though in my mind they will always be my babies).  They are 17, 18 and 20.

I found out yesterday that my older child (he is 18) is going to be a daddy in August.  So I will be a mom of a newborn and a new Grandma within 5 months of each other.

I am not sure if I am overly happy about it all.

How would you handle it?

babies are a blessing. And even though you may feel its a weird situation those babies will be super close friends.

Every baby Ida a blessing. Id show happens to your son and his partner because it Ida a halt blessing. But depending on your sons financial situation and all. Shoes he have the means the home ans the funds to provide a good life for the child? Thats what is ultimately base my feelings off of but a baby is a happy thing be happy for your son.

All babies r blessings from God. They may not be planned by the parents, but God had a plan for them and the new parents the whole time❤️

There's really nothing you can do except be supportive and be there for your son and grandchild. It's going to be hard, but think on the positive side, your son will be able to practice with his sibling before his own child gets there and it'll make him that much better of a dad. Unless you want to drive your son away completely, you have to just be as supportive as you can. He's probably scared and wasn't expecting this and you'll have to remember back to your first baby and think about how terrified you were and just be there for him. Plus, all babies are great! So you'll have a grandchild at the same time as a child. They'll be very close to each other!

I'm a grandma to a one year old! I am not having any conflicts at all. In fact, it will be fun to have so many little ones in the family!

That happened to my sister... She and her mother in law were both got pregnant months apart. She was very young, I won't even say how old (she lied to her bf about her age) and he was only 17 when the baby was born. The MIL was only 36 I think.

The babies got along great and are still really close as young adults now. They joke about how she's his aunt but she's a couple months younger than him lol

I know her MIL was worried and thought it was awkward but when they were born she was over the moon and even more when she saw them together. I think you are right to feel worried about your son being so young having a baby but you'll be happy the same once you see both babies together.

My husband has 2 other kids besides mine... They are 30 and 27... They both have kids and are all around the same age as my son who is 8... One of his nephews nephews is actually 4 months older than he is... We are all ok with the whole situation and are great friends and family

My mom and I were pregnant at the same time. She was 39, I was 19. My son and my sister are 4 months apart. They look like they could be twins and think it's cool how close they are, they'll both be 13 this year.  It's even brought my mom and I  closer together over the years. She was worried that she wouldn't be able to be the Grandma she wanted to be with a newborn but she's been the best grandma ever. It'll all work out.

My husband is 23, and he has a 3 year old sister.

My two year old calls her his cousin but she's really his aunt, and I have babysat my sister in law. It's a funny story and when they get older it will just be something funny to say I think.
