Is it bad that I'm waiting this long to take a test?

2 weeks ago I had something that was implantation bleeding or I don't know what it was but only lasted for a few minutes but ever since that I haven't tested I've been trying since March of last year and I'm very nervous to get a negative I get discouraged I don't know when I'm due for my period because I'm irregular should I just say fuck it and test or can I just wait a little bit longer 😞
