When should i take maternity leave

Hello ladies i am expecting twins and i am almost 13 weeks. I was just wondering what is a realistic time for me to stop working because i work at chrysler on the assembly line 10 hrs a day 6 days a week and im standing on my feet the whole time. I know im gonna get huge with this pregnancy because i already look like im 5 or 6 months prego
My doc said i should b able to carry them until im at least 37 weeks pregnant.  Please help

Congratulations! I'm also expecting twins and I'm 14 weeks tomorrow. My consultant told me a realistic time to stop working would be around 30 weeks as by then I'll be as big as a woman who is pregnant with one would be at term!! I also have to travel about 3.5 hours a day for work. But I live in the UK and we are entitled to take a year off for maternity leave. so it all depends on what you can afford? Good luck!

I would say around 24 weeks.. Being on your feet for that many hours a day is not going to help you in preventing preterm labor.. You definitely need to be taking it easy! You need to do everything in your power to keep those babies cooking for as long as possible! Good luck! 😊

I work in a meat dept at a grocery store. I am already feeling like o want to stay at home at 13 wks 4 days. I know at my job we get 6-8 weeks paid but can take up to 12 weeks off and then if needed we can ask for an extended leave of up to 90 days at a time. I am 5" 200lbs and don't know if I'll be able to carry two babies 38 weeks but in gonna work long as I can.

You can work as long as you can unless your doctor tells you other wise. I'm only working til June 12th since my hubby and I are moving in with his mom 2 hours away and I'm not driving back n forth to my job that far. I'll wait to go back after we find a house for our babies. 12 weeks 4 days pregnant with twins. Due August 30.

I have a desk job where I sit most of the day, and my doctor recommended that I stop working at 29 weeks.  I continued to work another two weeks, and after being told my cervix is thinning, I now absolutely had to begin my leave from work.  I started my leave at 31 weeks and wish I would have listened to my doctor and been on bedrest since 29 weeks like I was supposed to.  If my babies come very early, I'll never forgive myself for being so stubborn.  :(

I am going to go as long as I can. Hopefully until my baby is born because you only get 6 weeks leave in some cases not sure how much time you would get but I want as much time after the baby as I can get
