I need advise from someone thats had a tubal after vaginal delivery please

Ok so i know i want to get my tubes tied but i keep going back and forth about how to do it. My dr gave me the option of a vbac or a repeat csection yesterday. I have been saying csection so i can get my tubes tied but i absolutely hate the idea of another csection and recovery. So my question is what is the recovery like after just a tubal? Do you have to stay in the hospital over night again? I dont want to be away from my new baby for very long. I know its surgery but it cant be as bad as a csection right? I just really need some advise from someone that has done it PLEASE. I know i should've asked my dr all of this but i didn't feel good and couldn't think straight im already dialating and in early labor so time is running out
