Cheap ovulation tests?

I bought a job lot off of eBay and I haven't got a positive test and AF is almost due? Last month I used clear blue tests and got it spot on the day glow suggested. Didn't no if cheap tests are dodgy? Or maybe I didn't ovulate this month.
