I recently got some bad news from my fertility specialist. It turns out I was born with a defect that caused my ovaries to age prematurely. He said he is almost positive that I never had eggs to begin with, but is 100% certain that I have no eggs now. It turns out that I will not be able to carry a child anytime soon. He said that he sees no reason why my uterus couldn't carry a child, but i would need donor eggs. My sister has graciously said that i can have as many of hers as I need, but even with relative donor eggs the procedure costs $14,000. My best friend is setting up a givesendgo account to try and raise at least a small portion of the funds needed. If anyone is interested in donating to my cause I will post the information for the account as soon as I know something. Anyway, I wrote this just to thank all of you wonderful women for the support you have given along my journey. All I have left is hope that within a few years I will have the money to try this once. With relative's eggs it has a 60% chance of working. If it doesnt take the first time then I have decided that I will just adopt. I just wouldn't be able to let go of my issue if I didn't ever try.
