Should I stop using tampons

Everytime my dad goes to the store to buy me tampons ( I'm 14), the stupid department store ladies always say ohh I should use it, it's bad for you, your too young, you will be hurt. I'm just like shut up I have used one before. Your only job is to assist me and let me pay for my stuff. I swear they are so annoying. And none of my friends use tampons which makes it even worse. But I just don't feel comfortable going out in pads. I wear them at home and when I go to sleep. I only wear tampons when I'm going out somewhere like school. Plus my doctor already said I could use it and warned me of all the risk.  Which is why I change them every 2-3 hours. Geez, can everyone stop demonizing tampons!!!
