Water broke!

Eek! Ladies! It's happening! My water broke!! At 40+4!

Called the midwife, she said to hang tight, someone will come check me out, and to call back if anything changes.

No contractions yet, but 85% of women go into active labour within 24 hours of their water breaking if it happens before labour begins, so there's a real short countdown now!

I've got that crazy adrenaline rush they talk about but I want to preserve my energy. Phew.
