Can OB see you for a cold?

I see my OB tomorrow for my 37 week Check but I've been really sick for a week now. Bad chest cough that produces lots of mucous, ears hurt, sore throat, sometimes a fever. I've been managing the best I can hoping to fight it but I surrender. Can they diagnose me or should I see my primary or urgent care? I just feel safer getting meds that my OB approves but idk it works that way.

My ob wanted me to see another dr and consulted on the medication after their diagnosis.

They won't see me at mg doctors office for a cold because of the chance of spreading the germs. I just went Sunday to the er because I couldn't take it anymore.

I had a really bad cold virus back in December and when i called my OB they said to go see my primary care doctor to get help with it.

My OB saw me for my cold. I had a regular scheduled OB appt and while there asked him about my cold symptoms since I was concerned about what meds I could take while pregnant.

I had a terrible cold - which sounds as bad as the one you have now. My OB gave me a RX for a Z-pack; I had to take it for 5 days and it helped me tremendously! Ask you OB and just let him know that you can't sleep and over the counter mess aren't working.

I had a dreadful cold for five days and called my OB. She sent me to my GP who told me that I had bronchitis and, together with my OB's advice, she put me on antibiotics. I finished the course and wasn't better so I went back to my GP who immediately sent me to my OB. I've now just spent my first night in hospital to try and kick this thing - as it's causing my heart rate to really increase. Luckily, my baby is happy, healthy and content to stay put until it's ready (I'm 36+5).

What this whole experience has reinforced for me is to seek medical assistance if anything doesn't feel right or if you're concerned. Call and ask, make an appointment, question things. It's your job to be healthy for your baby and it's the doctors' job to help you achieve that.

Day 6/7 with my cold. Saw a different provider in the same clinic but basically was told: mucinex, inhaler (I'm an asthmatic), lots of vitamin c, water, sleep and pseudophed/acetametaphin as needed.  I see my obgyn for my 35 week appointment on Wednesday.  But honestly it might just take me 2 weeks to fully recover from this cold.  😕
