flu or pms???

We are new at ttc, been at it for about 5-6 weeks. I am 33, not on birth control (and haven't had to be ever), my period is always on time.  This time, I was a day late and have felt like I had the flu the entire time and the period is very light. is there any possibility we got pregnant and just having a period? my mom had a period while she was pregnant with me. I am dizzy, not hungry, very sleepy! ugh. any advice would be awesome :)
